travel-in-superstarTraveling around Thailand gives a sense of warmth, P'Bird Thongchai McIntyre reveals that leaves an everlasting impression is that no matter which part of Thailand you travel to, it is beautiful. There are smiles that welcome you and always a lot of different types of delicious foods

The everlasting superstar in the hearts of Thais like Bird Thongchai McIntyre, no matter what he moes to do, it is always of interests to people all the time. Everytime that he goes somewhere, you will always see a crowd of people standing closely around him. At this time TAT has asked him to become the presenter for traveling within Thailand to help making traveling within Thailand more exciting, to help stimulate the economy. In an effort to help invite Thais to travel within Thailand in order to help stimulate their own economy. And in the end, as it turns out there are many who are travel to Ubon Ratchathani, following in his footsteps already. This time they followed to travel at "Ma Hin Kao" in Chaiyapoom, which has been hailed as "Stonehenge" of Thailand, the setting for the lastest commercial for Thailand's everlasting superstar.

When you went to visit Sam Pun Bok in Ubon Ratchathani, there were a lot of people who followed you to go visit there as well. This time you went to Ma Hin Kao, do you think a lot of people will also follow there?

I think there will be because when we went that time we could see the villagers getting ready. There were already people who go visit there. They will go and set up tents around 3 or 4 in the morning, they will go around then. Maybe some will come later in the afternoon, they will bring their own food, they'll eat and sing, its an area that is very wide. At Ma Hin Kao there are 2 steps, the first step is like a village of rocks, its the first village, then there is the 2nd village where we went to film. The first village are really large rocks, it looks sacred and we can't go and climb them. They brought me up to the top and I got to see all the tents, it was around 3 or 4 am. The atmosphere is beautiful, it is somewhere that is one of the romantic places for looking at stars at night. Even when the stars are not out yet, it's still beautiful. It's a bit chilly, the wind is cold because we are at a high point. And around there when you look out it looks green, different greens coming down in tiers. It's very beautiful, it doesn't matter if its out of the country, it can't beat here.

After watching the movie "Ma Hin Kao" (Thai Stonehenge) looks very beautiful, what is the real thing like?

It's something magical... you can really feel it... I never thought there would be something like this. I can touch the rocks with my hands, I can look at it, what I see, what I feel, it's like proving to ourselves that it is real. It's like, did aliens come and make this? Oh!... But they said that it was under water, the dephts of the layers of the rocks can tell us that there are water markings, its very strange!! The layers of the water, its something that a human cannot do, only water. It make markings to the point that it made a hole, its very magical. In the movie, the whole that we saw in the rock, if its not the marking of water then its because of the wind. But I think its probably because of the water more. Try thinking of yourself, if we were to go stay under water like that, like in Sam Pun Bok, where we went inside Mae Nam Kong, its like that. Even though it is up high, but it ends up that it use to be in the water before. We are able to imagine like in a cartoon when we run like in the movie "Jurassic Park" what its like,  when its bigger than we are. It's really high, like a tall building, 3, 5 or 7 stories high. We have so many to choose from when we want to climb it. The rock that I went to lay on to look at the stars, it was really high. Like when we were kids and we use to climb trees, almost to the top, oh ho... it's a surprising sight, what is this?! We kept getting excited all night, it was really fun. Over there they see shooting stars a lot, you can come and make a wish on them there. If you forget, then you can keep making wishes, you will see them all the time because you see shooting stars like in a bunch of lines

What activity is a must do at "Mor Hin Kao"(Thai Stonehenge)

Other than looking at the stars, then it's putting up a tent sitting around talking, singing songs, making food to eat. It's something that people who love each other, who are romantic, will go ask someone to marry them. That day there was too, it's really sutiable for people in love.  And it's sutiable for fun loving people too because there are a lot of mountains to pick from. There is one house there that is for rent, its really beautiful. It's really a good place to go walking, for example if we get there right after 12 then later in the day we can go walking up the mountains.

What is "Mor Hin Kao"  in your imagination?

Imagine Mor Hin Kao like going scubba diving without having to go in the water. It's like a large coral reef, the largest that you've ever seen. And you are like a fish swimming this way and that. It's really fun, swimming through the holes. There is a really large coral reef, but once you get past it then there are stars. It's really magical, if everyone was to go see it they would be ... amazed

How is it different from "Sam Pun Bok" (Thai Grand Canyon)

At Sam Pun Bok, I imagined that I was riding on a serpant (King of Nagas? I don't know thats what translator said for that one 555) and it was really fun and exciting. But at Ma Hor Hin, it's not like its a rock, it is something like.... it's really hard to explain. Because at night it's really beautiful, it might be flowers and stars. I mean they can reach each other, all of it. It could be a coral reef, or it could be water. I think think it could be our own cartoon. There's no way to restrict what it could be, its up to our imagination. When you look at it for awhile your imagination will let it be anything, you could even be walking in the city of giants. You could end up being someone really small, or someone really big, you can go be really small there.

When you go travel, who do you like to go with?

I'll go with P'Noi, when Mom was here I would go with her. I like to travel with my family, sometimes there are 40 of us that go. We'll go travel and have fun. Before we would go to Hua Hin, go as a big family, eat buffet, its fun. We would go running in the sand, shoot fireworks, it was really fun, didn't have to be scared of anyone. A lot of us going together, we would take a whole car of the train, a whole bogey, or rent a double decker car. Then we would buy packaged foods, in one package you would even get an egg, get this and that, you see the villagers can do a lot. It's a lot of memories, what I think is the most important are the memories of people in your family. Sometimes we work too much and we don't have time. If we have a memory of a time when of when we go and get our feet dirty in the sand with our father, holding hands with our mother, making food to eat, the laughter of our family when we went to stay together. The pictures that we had, the vdos we had, we should record these clips so that we can keep them to watch. When you see each other again you guys can talk about it and recreate trip, I think its something good.
