Tuesday, 15 December 2009 22:56

To mark the 82nd birthday of His Majesty the King, as well as the 63rd anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne, a number of government offices led by the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Commerce, have pooled their efforts to hold a special event titled "Por (Father)...The Greatest of the Kings, the Greetings of the Land".

Set against the magnificent backdrop of Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall, the 4D visual, light and sound presentation will bring in the latest technology to create four-dimensional images against the throne hall, accompanied by a live orchestra.

The theme song, King of Kings has been specially composed for this event by Surak Sukseree, based on the praises from the world's monarchs as well as the international media. This song will be performed daily, along with different songs by various artists, beginning with Khong Kwan Jak Kon Din by Thongchai McIntyre on Saturday; Tam Roy Por on Sunday, December 6; Fon Luang on December 7; Por Yoo Hua by Add Carabao and Parn Thanaporn on December 8; Roop Thi Me Tuk Ban on December 9; Khong Kwan Jak Kon Din by Phalaphol Polkongsengon on December 10, Dern Tam Por on December 11; Nam Khue Cheevit by Carabao and Chaliang groups on December 12; and Song Phra Charoen ("Long Live the King") by Usni and Add Carabao on December 13.
