Bird - Thongchai opens up with the news team about everything from being a presenter for TAT, what is going on in his life, different works, and also about love and how long he will be single for.
It's enough to make his fans miss him a little less when P'Bird Thonchai McIntyre agreed to be the presenter for Thailand for the project "Travel Thailand" (long name can't translate propertly
) "Famous People Sit Down to Talk" couldn't wait to ask the superstar to sit down and talk. Plus we'll dig deep and talk about his heart and his "single" status.
What has the feedback been from the commercials?"It is something that I think is really very magical. You get this kind of feeling like "this really exists?" I think that there should be a lot of people who will go and especially now it's still new, it's still virgin. Everyone should take the opportunity to experience it. The feeling I got when I first saw the rocks, it was like I never new something like this exists. I was able to experience and walk around it with my own feet, it's really magical. It's not like when you walk on the typical concrete. Some of them it was like the water carved out caves in them so I would go and pretend to be like a hermit in them (laughs) I would go and meditate in there, it's a place where I can go back and feel like a kid again."
In this commercials, you're face is so young and fresh, what is your secret?"That day I stocked up on a lot of sleep. Sleeping has to be a priority. Another thing is the weather there is very good. We planned that I had to sleep in the afternoon because I had to work at night." There were some fans who came to surround you? "There were some villagers, some fans who came to watch. The whole neighborhood came. There was something that was said that was very meaningful to me. There was one villager who said that they never dreamed that Mister Bird would come here, it won't be long before this place will no longer be lonely. And then they let out a big Hey! Soon we will have work. They all stayed and weren't willing to go home until 3 or 4 am, both the small little babies. They stood around taking pictures, asked to shake hands and there was a lot of kissing too"
What do you like to do in your free time?"I like to exercise, let the sweat come out, once it comes out whatever is in my head changes. Other than that I listen to music, watch TV, pray, meditate at night." What is way of thinking to live life? "Think positive. As people we have to experience negative and positive things. But we have to understand that idea to think like that. It has to occur from practice and doing. In the past how did we do things, if we think good things, think positive, don't do anything bad to anyone, give some time to prayer and meditation, it will be very good. Prayer and meditation is not something of the past, it is something that is a trend, it's like getting vitamins. It makes your skin look brighter, if you pray every night I say it makes everything inside brighter as well."
What do you think is still missing in your life?"I've never thought that I had a full life. I like to use to the words I have it good. I have what I'm willing to give, and I also think all the time that I have the responsibility to try and make everyone happy. I don't think that my life has only work, but it just so happens that my work is happiness, I'm very lucky to have a job that has happiness. It's like I can be happy everyday."
If today you weren't a superstar, what would you be doing?"I would probably be working at Kasikorn Thai (P'Birds former bank) and at night P'Noi would come and pick me up to go sing at different hotels. My dream when I was little was to work hard at singing. I was born into a family of singers, I would sing and I would have P'Noi as my partner who would go and drop me off and pick me up. Or else I would just sit and eat while I waited. Thats all there really is."
What work do you have planned?"I'm going to have a new song, a new album. There should be the opportunity to go out and tour too. Both in Thailand and also outside of Thailand. Next year should begin touring in America, Europe. I want to go and do it for the Thai people who miss me, it's something I have never done before, but they have asked for it. I've never gone to sing outside of Thailand before, but I am a representative of Thailand, I should go have fun with them and let them feel happy. And there will also be a Bird Channel that will be on 24 hours that will allow you to know my news and what I am doing when and where. It is a way to allow me to be with them and for them to know what is going on. For them to be with me, there might even be live interviews where we can talk as well, you can go ahead and call."
What is your view on love?"This is something big. If there is something I'm missing it is probably this. When I'm alone I do think about how fun it would be or how meaningful it would be. There are times when its like... mm... yea this is how it's suppose to be. I have to be with my work, I have fun. If I'm going to love someone I have to begin with the person who loves me first, my family. I have to do everything, I don't have to hurry, I'm only 15 (laughs) I still have a lot of time left." What is your idea of love? "I think love is understanding, something more than that is caring. Caring is something even bigger than love. If you love you love, but if you care then you care about them all the time. You don't want to make them upset, not even a little bit. Something that they don't like, then there is no way you would do it for them to see or feel because you care about them. You feel it for them. Behind the back of someone you love is more important than what you do in front of them. Even if they do not see you, you have to act as if they see you all the time. If you are not with them, you have to make them feel like you are with them all the time."
The love that you have today, what is it like?"Everyday, this is how I act with everyone that is around me. Whether it is P'Noi, P'Lek (Boosaba), the make up artist, hair stylists, my team, I will do as if I am around them all the time. What ever they do, I'll do it too. If they know a problem, I know it too, I see it too, I'm with them all the time." And what about your partner in love? "Those who have a partner in love, I think it must be fun in having to balance time. Someone who married someone they love, if you look at it from a different point of view, it would be very fun for love. If you think of it in a postive view all the time, if there is something they don't like, try digging to find out what they do like. Do what they like all the time because you never know what will happen in life tomorrow. It may be too late if you never do anything for the person you love" Very sentimental!
