Yesterday i just curious on how is the world's awareness in Pee Bird reputation so i went to wikipedia and found one of very interesting info on Pee Bird , wiki saying "He was featured on CNN and Variety magazine. An award winning documentary on his life entitled "Crossing Borders" directed by Phanjanit Garnploog can be seen at St. John's University in New York which includes rare interviews with the director."

it create more curious me so i spent whole day finding this documentary on St.John uni library but unfortunately i couldn't find those such film... feeling so bad now .. ninja cry

Is anyone aware of this documentary?

Dear sisters, this documentary was made by Phanjanit, PBirds fan living in New York. He studied film making and in the year 1996 he decided to make a documentary about his favourite Thai singer. He wished to introduce most succesfull singer from Thailand to american students.
We met Phanjanit in NYC and he told me that his proffesor really liked it and showed it in class and later it won an award in the University. So we cannot buy it anywhere. I wondered that it was mentioned in wikipedia, because it was not screened anywhere, except University.

Anyway, we saw this documentary and talked to Phanjanit about it. We told him honestly what we think about it and when we discussed together he accepted our opinions. When we watched it, we missed very important part about PBird, which is not only singing, dancing or ability to sing in different languages. There was no word about what PBird means to Thai people. How people love and support PBird in all times and how PBird knows about this love and give back his heart to fans. This trully amazing relationship between singer and fans we missed so much on it. Maybe it was too american view, but yeah, we are european and very influenced by Thailand smile
Anyway it was nice and fun to be with Mr.director and we appreciate his passion and love to do this work.  iloveu
Maybe he will come to this web one day to tell us more about it  pray

You are welcome Maewdoi Wink
As i know, the old documentary had very bad quality of sound, and for you - big fan of PBird there will be nothing new, except english commentary and some analyzing about thai music influences from the west. We think it is not available anywhere now. But i can ask Phanjanit if he can tell us more. He is very busy working, so please be patient and lets wait na ka  pray
Thank you  heart
